Answers to questions in step 5 -- Determining Currancy


Determining Currency  (Not currency = money, This currency means how current is the information)

  • Is the date of the latest revision of the site clearly stated? What is the date of the last revision? (Hint: Look at the bottom of the page or by article title to find the last revised date)
  • Is the date given for when the information was gathered?
  • Is the page kept current?
  •  Are the links current; i.e., do they really work?
  • Is this truly the latest information on the topic? Do a search for some of the information in the article and see if there's anything new that's been learned.

    1. The last date in which this articles is edited was 2008.
    2. It is not clear when the information was gathered.
    3. The page hasn't been edited in quite some time so it probably isn't the most current.
    4. All links work and lead to informative websites.
    5. This isn't quite the latest information on the topic but ww1 happened so long ago that hardly anything's changed.
